MAMA YIE

Mama yie !!!

That’s the sound of a baby when in distress

I’m stressed as I’m about to set this place on fire

No sickness was detected before the arrival of the “doctors”

Yet, we professed such

The system is weak

Truth being pampered

Autocracy gradually crawling in

What are we going to tell the next generation

Oh we messed up !!!

Isn’t it shameful that our colleagues are far above us

We can’t rub shoulders anymore

Still living in an obsolete system

Blessed with sunlight, cursed with dumbness

Darkness filled the hearts and minds of bibinii

My friend Samora always complained of the dark mindset of bibinii

He just couldn’t wrap his head around it

Fix the country and you want us to fix ourselves

What do we have to fix other than our system

Remember regret is stronger than gratitude

Don’t put the toils of the heroes and heroines in shambles

The fight they paid with their blood

We are definitely going to regret this

I bet the next generation must find their feet

There’s no system to help put them on their feet

You either crawl for life or kneel in the gravels
